Day 319
Today was the third day of class. This is the fully physical day, so I got a bit of exercise while demonstrating all of the techniques. The most excersise though came in the hour between work and class. Michelle got permission to bring me as her guest to the campus Fitness Zone. She had taken the Crossfit classes and works out regularly. She also took a rowing class off campus. So, today she showed me some of the things she has been doing at the gym. We started with the rowing machine. I have never done it before, but it was actually pretty easy. I managed to do 1500 meters without breaking a sweat. After that we did 50 sit ups using a back supporting pad. I am not very good at ab workouts. I always seem to screw it up and any attempt at sit ups make my back and neck throb, but do very little for my abs. This pad thing though was awesome! I did all 50 sit ups and I only felt it in my abs :) Then she showed me how to do an arm workout using cowbells. She wouldn't let me off easy (I wanted to use the 4 pound one). I am happy that she didn't though, because I was able to do 20 reps with an 8 pound weight. It didn't hurt at the time, but man I was sore the next day!
